Kuwait announced today, Saturday, the death of Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, former Prime Minister, at the age of 82, as the deceased held many high positions during his political career. Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak was born in 1942, and began his career in 1968, as a supervisor of administrative and financial affairs at the Amiri Diwan, and progressed through the positions until he became Director of the Diwan Administration and then Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs. In November 2011, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak assumed the position of Prime Minister and continued to lead the government until 2019, becoming one of the prominent figures in the modern history of Kuwait.
