The Minister of Electricity and Energy in the caretaker government, Dr. Mohamed Al-Bukhaiti, inspected the damage caused to electricity lines and equipment in Hodeidah Governorate by the floods. Minister Al-Bukhaiti and the Director of Hodeidah Electricity, Engineer Ahmed Roudan, were briefed on Thursday on the damage in the districts of Al-Marawi'ah, Al-Mansuriyah, Bayt Al-Faqih, and Zabid, as well as the damage to the poles of the transmission lines (33kV) system for the eastern square. Al-Bukhaiti praised the efforts of the leadership of the Electricity Corporation in forming a joint operations room between the region's command, generation, and transmission stations, the Transmission and Control Department, and the engineering and technical staff in restarting the electricity supply despite the significant damage caused to the national grid in the province. In addition, the Director of the Public Electricity Corporation, Dr. Meshaal Al-Rifi, was briefed on the progress of technical work in repairing the transmission line in the branches of Al-Kadan and Al-Dhahi after it fell. He listened to an explanation from technicians and specialists about the nature of the work the damage caused to electricity lines and equipment by the floods and rains, and the mechanism of work to address and repair them.
