Today, a cultural symposium was held in Sanaa entitled 'Al-Zahraa, the Model and Role Model' on the anniversary of the birth of Al-Zahraa - International Muslim Women's Day, organized by the General Administration for Women's Development in the capital Sana'a. The symposium reviewed three working papers, the first entitled 'Fatima Al-Zahra, the Model and Role Model in Raising Children,' presented by the Director of the Department of Studies and Research, Amat Al-Quddu Al-Shari'a, the second entitled 'Fatima Al-Zahra, Our Role Model' by Dr. Hana Al-Mutawakel, and the third paper entitled 'Women under Islam, Care and Honor,' presented by Hanan Al-Mahdi, all of them stressed the importance of imitating the approach of Al-Zahra, the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, following her and her stances, and following her virtuous life. The papers dealt with moments from the life of Al-Zahra, peace be upon her, in her jihad, patience, and her role in spreading the message of Muhammad, noting that she is the model that Muslim women must emulate. She pointed out that the enemies' movement under the title of women's rights, in light of the continued killing of thousands of women and children in Gaza and the West Bank, with American support, proves that the defense of women's rights by the West is a lie and nothing more. While the Director of the General Department of Women's Development in the secretariat, Ibtisam Al-Mahatwari, indicated in her speech that Yemeni women derived their steadfastness from Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her, stressing that she is the finest Islamic model that Yemeni women should emulate in raising their children. She stressed the importance of Yemeni women deriving their jihad, steadfastness and giving from the example of Lady Fatima bint Muhammad, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace.
