The Public Service and Administration Commission (PSAC) hosted a consultative workshop on Thursday to review the draft government leadership management system. The workshop featured presentations on the draft system's contents and components, discussions on best practices, and a session for addressing participant questions and inquiries. The event, held in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), brought together experts from both the public and private sectors. Bandar Abu Tayeh, Executive Director of the Policy and Standards Development Department at PSAC, emphasized the critical need for a comprehensive and effective system to enhance the skills of government leaders at all levels. He highlighted that this system is crucial for advancing the state's public administration and achieving the goals outlined in the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap. The aim is to ensure a high-performing public sector that meets the ambitions of His Majesty King Abdullah II and impro ves the quality of services delivered to citizens. Abu Tayeh detailed that the system will adhere to principles of merit and entitlement, covering aspects such as selection, implementation, and support for emerging leaders. It includes mechanisms to empower young talents and enable them to assume leadership roles early in their careers through a fast-track approach and a supportive environment. This initiative is expected to enhance government services, foster innovation, and align with the 2023-2027 human resources strategy in the civil service. Source: Jordan News Agency
