A workshop on the strategic direction to enhance and develop the midwifery profession in the Asian region concluded in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, with the participation of Yemen. The workshop discussed over three days the aspects related to enhancing and developing midwifery in the Asian region, the available opportunities and challenges, as well as initiatives in the field of midwifery, and how to enhance regional and international cooperation to achieve a common vision for developing this profession.
