The communique of the High-level Summit for Peace for Ukraine urged the involvement of all parties in the conflict to end the war in Ukraine. The two-day Summit, which wrapped up Sunday in Zurich, Switzerland, saw the participation of the delegations of 90 countries to discuss Kyiv's proposals for ending the war, albeit in the absence of Russia, which announced its unwillingness to attend. The Summit's communique reaffirmed the commitment to the principles of sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of all countries, including those of Ukraine, within its internationally recognized borders. The communique stated, "All prisoners of war must be released by complete exchange. All deported and unlawfully displaced Ukrainian children and all other Ukrainian civilians who were unlawfully detained, must be returned to Ukraine." It added, "Food security must not be weaponized in any way," and that access to sea ports in the Black and Azov Seas is critical for global food supply chains. The Summit also called for Ukraine to have full sovereign control of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is Europe's largest nuclear power plant, and which fell under Russian control at the start of the war.
