Salfit: Colonists today destroyed a Palestinian vehicle belonging to a local citizen from the town of Yasuf, east of Salfit. The head of the Yasuf village council, Wael Abu Madi, reported that a group of Israeli colonists attacked the vehicle of local resident Mujahid Radi Atiani while he was picking olives in the Al-Mahawar area. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the olive harvest season in the West Bank this year is witnessing repeated attacks by colonists and occupation forces. These incidents have escalated to include killing, burning, and cutting down olive trees, stealing crops, and preventing farmers from accessing their lands. Since the beginning of the olive season this year, and until October 29, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission has recorded 239 attacks against olive pickers by occupation forces and colonists. These attacks have tragically resulted in the death of 60-year-old Hanan Abdul Rahman Abu from the village of Faqqu'a, northeast of Jenin, and have inju red more than 50 others. In addition to the loss of life and injuries, the attacks have caused significant destruction of properties and led to the burning and uprooting of hundreds of olive trees.
