Colonists fence off tract of land in Jerusalem in an attempt to seize it

JERUSALEM: Colonists today fenced off a large tract of Palestinian-owned land in the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of the occupied Jerusalem. Local sources said that a group of colonists, heavily guarded by the Israeli occupation army and accompanied by bulldozers, fenced off the land with barbed wire as a prelude to take it over. Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces further detained a local resident after brutally assaulting and beating him up. In a related context, the occupation forces raided the house of a local resident in Al-Thawri neighborhood in the town of Silwan, seized his cell phone and a sum of money.
