Tubas: Israeli colonists on Monday evening fenced off Palestinian-owned pasture land near Al-Aqaba village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Tubas, according to a human rights activist. Aref Daraghmeh reported that colonists began enclosing dozens of donums of pastures with a fence near the village.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, six Palestinian families have been forced to leave their dwellings near the village due to ongoing colonist attacks. The violence from colonists against Palestinians and their property is a common occurrence in the West Bank and is seldom prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists' violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is in violation of international law.
