Post: Israeli Colonists Rustle Palestinian Livestock Near Jericho

Jericho: Israeli colonists on Monday rustled livestock belonging to Palestinians in the Halq E-Rumaneh community, located west of the occupied West Bank city of Jericho.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the colonists broke into the community and stole a significant number of sheep, causing material losses to the inhabitants who primarily depend on livestock for their livelihood.

The organization has called for an end to the recurrent colonist attacks on Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley and urged for protection for the inhabitants. Colonists' violence against Palestinians and their property is a common occurrence in the West Bank and typically goes unpunished by Israeli authorities.

Such acts of violence by colonists include property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is considered a violation of international law.
