NABLUS: Israeli colonists today cut trees and forced a farmer to leave his land near the northern West Bank city of Nablus. Colonists cut 60 olive trees in the village of Jaloud, south of Nablus, according to Raed Haj Mohammad, head of the village council. He said the colonists also destroyed water pipes used for irrigation. In the village of Qaryout, south of Nablus, colonists opened fire at a farmer working in his land west of the village while soldiers were in the area. The farmer, Sabri Qaryouti, told WAFA that the colonists, from the illegal colony of Eileh, forced him to leave his land and the crops even though it is only 300 meters from his house.
