NABLUS: Colonists today bulldozed large swathes of land owned by Palestinian residents in southern Nablus and Hebron, according to local sources. Sources said that colonists, accompanied by a bulldozer, broke into the northern part of the village of Qusra, south of Nablus, and carried out leveling operations of residents' lands. To be noted, the village and residents of Qusra are constantly subjected to attacks by extremist colonists. Meanwhile, Colonists also bulldozed land in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron. Local sources told WAFA that a group of colonists leveled land belonging to Palestinians in the Masafer Yatta area and planted it with trees, as an apparent prelude to take over the land for the benefit of expanding the illegal nearby Itzkhar Man colony. Since the beginning of the year, colonists have been working on further expanding illegal colonies, paving of colonists-only roads and carrying out large-scale leveling operations in the said area. Colonists' violence against Palestinians a nd their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023. The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians, including the destruction of homes and properties, has been widely condemned. Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.
