Beijing: Implementing the two-state solution, which includes establishing an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty based on the 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital, is "fundamental" for peace in Palestine, said Chinese President Xi Jinping. Xi emphasized the urgency of resolving the ongoing conflict and reducing regional tensions by fully implementing relevant UN Security Council resolutions, as noted in a statement released by the Chinese State Council. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Chinese leader reaffirmed China's support for the Palestinian people's "legitimate" rights, including their right to statehood, existence, and return. President Xi also advocated for Palestine's full membership in the United Nations and the organization of an inclusive international peace conference aimed at addressing the region's long-standing issues. Xi Jinping highlighted China's commitment to working alongside the international community to bring an end to the confl ict. He mentioned China's ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and to facilitate a "comprehensive, just, and lasting" resolution based on the two-state framework. The Chinese government remains proactive in promoting dialogue and cooperation to achieve these goals.
