Amman: Sunday's weather in Jordan is expected to be cold and partly cloudy to cloudy, with intermittent showers of rain occurring in the north and center of the kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update. There may also be light showers in limited parts of the eastern and southwestern areas for a brief time The nighttime temperatures will drop further, and heavy rain is anticipated in the late hours of the night, primarily in the northern and central-western regions. The winds will be moderate, blowing from the southwest. Additionally, the weather service has issued a warning regarding the potential formation of torrential rains in valleys and low-lying areas, particularly in the northern regions during the night. There is also a risk of low visibility due to fog in the highlands, and a possibility of slippery roads in rainfall-affected areas. Moving to Monday, the weather will persist cold and partly cloudy to cloudy, with scattered showers of rain in the north, center, a nd limited parts of the eastern regions. In the northern regions, the rainfall may be heavy at times, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, while winds will be moderate from the southwest, occasionally becoming active. As night falls, cloud cover will increase, and the atmosphere will become mostly cloudy with occasionally heavy downpours in the northern and central regions, associated with thunder and hailstones. The southwestern regions are also expected to experience light showers of rain. During the late hours of the night, there may be brief and insignificant periods of light showers of snow mixed with rain over the high southern mountain highlands (Al Sharah ). The winds will be westerly, with a moderate speed. On Tuesday, mercury levels are predicted to dip significantly, plunging about 4-5 degrees Celsius below the seasonal normal. The north and center of the country are forecast to see extremely frigid conditions with partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Scattered rain showers are forecast in the nort hern regions and certain portions of the central-west areas. Rain may occasionally combine with snow on the peaks of the high northern and central-western ranges, but this is predicted to be brief and inconsequential. The southwestern winds will be active, with powerful gusts that may approach 50 km/hour, hitting the country's south and east. Wednesday's weather will continue to be chilly and cloudy, particularly in the north and center of the country. Intermittent showers of rain are expected to occur in the northern regions and parts of the central regions, occasionally mixing with snow over the mountain peaks. The winds will be brisk, blowing from the west to the southwest. Today's peak temperatures will be between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 4C or even 1C in the northern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have moderate weather, with highs of 21C and lows of 12C. In the condolence cable he sent to the sons of the deceased Abdul-Wahab and Hussein Muhammad Al-Dhamin, their brothers, and the Al-Dhamin family in general, the President praised the virtues of Sheikh Al-Dhamin and his contributions to serving society, as well as his honorable national stances in the face of the US-Saudi-UAE aggression. He stressed that Yemen lost with the departure of the deceased Sheikh Muhammad Al-Dhameen, one of the sheikhs and prominent social figures, who had patriotic positions with the Mujahideen, as his sons were martyred in the six wars.
