Amman: The Children's Museum is set to launch the eighth edition of its Science and Arts Days program, beginning on Saturday, August 17, and running through Monday, August 19, 2024. This event is supported by the Arab Bank, the Giant Industrial Group, and the Middle East Insurance Company. In a statement released on Wednesday, the museum highlighted that the program is designed as an educational event for children under the age of 12, blending fun with learning. Running from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily, the program aims to foster creativity and a love for knowledge through workshops, interactive activities, and educational presentations. Specifically tailored for children aged 4 to 12, the program covers various topics in science, arts, and literature. The activities are designed to develop children's scientific and analytical thinking, enhance problem-solving skills, and encourage innovation. This year, the museum has partnered with several creative educational institutions to enrich the program, includi ng Ideas Lab, Raqami, Hajareen Initiative, Dar Al Salwa, Noon Books, and Kalila and Dimna Publishing House, among others. The program will feature over 40 workshops, activities, and shows, including hands-on experiences in the bazaar square where children can learn to make toys and products. Workshops will cover topics such as robotics, technology, carpet-making techniques, graphic printing, and short films about planets and stars in the planetarium. Activities will span various themes, including play, challenges, storytelling, plant sciences, astronomy, and marine life. The program will also feature a scientific and comedic show, delivering science in an engaging and entertaining way for children, as well as a puppet show. The museum expects a high turnout, with an anticipated attendance similar to last year's event, which drew around 5,000 visitors, including both adults and children. Families are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance and plan their visit by checking the detailed program on the Chil dren's Museum Jordan website, www.cmj.jo.
