Beirut, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri met Tuesday with the US special envoy to Lebanon Amos Hochstein to discuss the situation and political developments both in Lebanon and the region, amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. Following the meeting, Hochstein affirmed that reaching a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip would end the escalation between Lebanon and Israel, pointing out that he discussed with Berri the security and political situation in Lebanon and the ceasefire proposal laid out by the US President Joe Biden, concerning Gaza which gives a chance to end the conflict along the blue line between Lebanon and Israel.
