Casas: We need the fans’ support from the stadium
Our national team coach Jesus Casas said, “we must invest the fans’ support in our favor, and we have a stubborn competitor who previously snatched a point from Korea.
He added during the special press conference related to tomorrow’s match against the Palestinian team, that “we lost two points in the last match against Kuwait due to a refereeing error.”
He confirmed that the Palestinian team is an organized team, both defensively and offensively, and not as some believe that there are big differences, but we analyzed their performance and they are a good team.
Regarding the injuries that have recently plagued the national team players, he explained: We do not have any problem, and we have created a good combination capable of compensating for any absence, noting that the substitutes are ready, and even if there are no injuries, in any case we will determine the participants in the confrontation in the last training session to employ the most appropriate of our tools for tomorrow’s confrontation.
He said that collecting points is the most important thing, but we certainly aspire to combine performance and points.
Regarding Ayman Hussein’s participation, Casas confirmed: He is ready, but we have not yet decided whether he will start the confrontation or will be involved for a few minutes.
Casas concluded his speech by sending a message to the Iraqi public about the necessity of providing support and assistance, saying “we need them, and we hope that the stadium will be completely filled, as we are accustomed to this image in our matches, and the public support is an important part of moving forward in the qualifiers on the right path towards qualification”.
For his part, the Iraqi national football team player, Zaid Tahseen, confirmed: “The team’s readiness for tomorrow’s match with the Palestinian team is at its best, and every player is striving to give his best.”
He said in the press conference for the match, which was held this afternoon, Wednesday, at the Manawi Pasha Hotel in Basra: “The readiness is at its best, and the focus in training has begun to become clear, and every individual from the team’s players is striving to give his best in order to achieve a positive result, reinforced by good performance.”
Tahseen pointed out the importance of the match in the qualifying journey, and the necessity of snatching its points in order to continue at the top of the group and continue to persevere towards getting the ticket to qualify for the World Cup.
Our team player sent a message to the Iraqi fans about the necessity of the stadium being completely full, as the public support contributed to all the national team’s matches in gaining points in the matches that were played in Basra.
