Environmental activist "Ahmed Al-Saadi" called for the revival of the marshes and increasing their water share as they were exposed to drought, which led to the death of many animals. Al-Saadi demonstrated during the launch of the Husseini processions in Amara, carrying the bones of dead animals and raising slogans demanding an increase in the water share of the marshes. He said: "The marshes lost many of their residents as a result of the death of their animals and the loss of their livelihoods from fish and birds, stressing his continuation of the demonstration until the government responds to him."
