Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs - Minister of Finance, Rashid Abu Luhum has laid the foundation stone for the implementation of 11 projects in al-Qabaita district in Lahj province at a total cost of 594,833,000 Y.R. The projects came to contribute to the construction of rainwater harvesting tanks for 400 water reservoir at a cost of 30 million Y.R, and contributing to paving 18 rural roads, at a cost of 30 million Y.R, funded by the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance. The projects also included restoring and furnishing some of the buildings of al-Hajar al-Qubaita Community College at a cost of 100 million Y.R, building a wall, an equipment workshop, and an office building for the province, at a cost of 90,083,000 million Y.R, rehabilitating Wadi Dhamran dam from flood waste, building water barriers at a cost of 50,000,000 Y.R, funded by the local authority in the province. Among the projects, a project to contribute to supporting agricultural in itiatives, at a cost of 62,500,000 Y.R and a project to construct and survey a number of roads in al-Qabaita district, at a cost of 67,500,000 Y.R as well as a project to support community initiatives in various fields at a cost of 50,000,000 Y.R , funded by the local authority in the province. It included a project to maintain and asphalt al-Hajar - Dhamran road (the third phase), at a cost of 50,000,000 Y.R, funded by the Road Maintenance Fund, and two projects to rehabilitate and maintain the al-Haydin Water Project, at a cost of 27,000,000 Y.R, and the rehabilitation and maintenance of Dhamran Wadi Water Project, at a cost of 37,000,000 Y.R, funded by some Donor organizations. The Finance Minister explained that laying the foundation stone for service projects comes in implementation of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and the President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, to pay attention to service projects, which contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens in light of the current conditions.
