Gaza - Ma'an - The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said on Monday that the crisis in the Gaza Strip is a "serious violation of human rights." "What is happening on the other side is not a crisis in itself or a natural disaster, but a man-made crisis," Borrell said in front of the Rafah crossing on the Egyptian side. "Yes, what happened started with attacks by Hamas and we condemn this, but one horrific attack cannot justify another horrific attack," he said. He added that "what is happening is a gross violation of human rights," and pointed out that there are 1,400 aid trucks waiting to enter the Gaza Strip. "We must continue to demand a ceasefire and the release of prisoners," he continued. Source: Maan News Agency
