Baghdad: The prices of Basra Heavy and Medium crude oil rose today, Tuesday, with the rise in oil prices in global markets. Basra Heavy crude prices rose 15 cents to reach $78.03, and Basra Medium crude prices rose 5 cents to reach $80.88. Oil prices rose, continuing their gains for the second day, thanks to hopes of rising seasonal demand for fuel and potential US purchases to increase the strategic petroleum reserve, despite the rise in the dollar, which limited the gains.
