The Basra Criminal Court issued a fifteen-year prison sentence against the Dean of the College of Computer Science at the University of Basra. The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council explained in a statement that 'the convict committed an act contrary to public morals and the behavior of a university professor.' He added, "The ruling against him was issued based on the provisions of Article 393/A and C of the Penal Code and inference to the provisions of Article 132/1 thereof.
