Barzani And Romanowski Stress The Importance Of Protecting The Security And Safety Of The Int’l Coalition Forces And Diplomatic Missions Throughout Iraq

Baghdad - The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, stressed the continuation of joint cooperation and the importance of protecting the security and safety of the international coalition forces and diplomatic missions throughout Iraq.

The regional presidency said in a statement: “During the meeting today, Barzani and the American ambassador discussed strengthening Iraq and the Kurdistan region’s relations with the United States of America within the framework of the American-Iraqi strategic agreement.”

The two sides stressed "the continuation of joint cooperation and the importance of protecting the security and safety of the international coalition forces and diplomatic missions throughout Iraq."

In another aspect of the meeting, which was attended by the US Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, the internal conditions of the Kurdistan Region and the latest developments in the region in general were discussed.
