Hilla, The River Police affiliated with the Babylon Police Command rescued a woman who attempted to commit suicide by throwing herself into the Euphrates River passing through the city of Hilla on Tuesday. Babylon Police Information Director, Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, said, 'The River Police stationed near Bab Al-Hussein Bridge in central Hilla were able to rescue a forty-year-old woman who threw herself into the Euphrates River passing through the city of Hilla.' He added that the woman was transferred to Al-Hilla Surgical Hospital for treatment, and that the police opened an investigation to find out the causes of the accident.'
