CANBERRA: Australia's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator Penny Wong welcomed the adoption of a UNSC resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire for the holy month of Ramadan, leading to a lasting ceasefire. International humanitarian law must be upheld, she stressed in a post on the X platform, stressing that all parties must comply with this resolution. People in Gaza are starving. Reports that UNRWA is being denied access are unacceptable, she added. 'Australia is pursuing this with the Netanyahu Government.
