The Energy Police Forces arrested an accused of smuggling petroleum products and seized his vehicle in Kirkuk. The Energy Police Directorate stated in a statement: "The detachments of the First Energy Police Brigade in Kirkuk Governorate arrested an accused of smuggling petroleum products and seized his vehicle loaded with plastic barrels of various sizes and capacities containing petroleum products, without official papers." It added: "The accused was arrested and the vehicle was seized, based on Law No. (41) of (2008) on combating the smuggling of oil and its derivatives." Source: National Iraqi News Agency
