Around 161 colonists stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque today in Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds), under the protection of the occupation police. Eyewitnesses told Wafa news agency that the colonists carried out provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in Al-Aqsa's courtyards. The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) tightened their military procedures at the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, deployed units of occupation police at close quarters, and imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshippers. According to Wafa, the Israeli occupation government decided a few days ago to finance the colonists' incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, through their so-called "ministry of heritage," and it will allocate 2 million shekels (roughly USD 545,000) for the project from the budget of its extremist "Amichai Eliyahu."
