The Army Saturday shot down a drone carrying drugs on Jordan's southern borders, according to an army official. An official in the Armed Forces said: "The Border Guard Forces in the Southern Military Region, in coordination with the military security services and the Anti-Narcotics Department, thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs using a drone illegally across the border. "The rules of engagement were applied and the materials were dropped inside Jordanian territory," adding that they confiscated the items and transferred them to the competent authorities. The source added, "The Armed Forces are working with all their strength and determination and harnessing all capabilities to prevent infiltration and smuggling operations by force to maintain the security and stability of the Kingdom."
