The Jordan Armed Forces successfully intercepted two drone-based attempts to smuggle narcotics along the country's western front on Sunday, according to a responsible military source. The thwarted attempts occurred within the Southern Military Zone, where surveillance systems detected the drones carrying illegal substances. In response to the incursion, the rules of engagement were swiftly enforced, leading to the downing of the drones inside Jordanian territory. Upon inspection, authorities confirmed that the drones were transporting narcotics, which were subsequently handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation. The military source emphasized that the Jordan Armed Forces remain committed to utilizing their full capabilities to prevent infiltration and smuggling attempts.
