Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said today, Tuesday, that "the brutal attack of the Zionist entity on Lebanon is a result of its predicament in the Gaza Strip." Araghchi said in a press statement from New York: "Nothing has been proposed regarding reducing the confrontation with the Zionist entity, and supporting the resistance is at the top of our priorities." He added, "We have never ruled out revenge for Haniyeh, and the Zionist entity will receive the appropriate response to this behavior," noting that "not responding to the assassination of Haniyeh means inviting Israel to carry out more attacks." The Iranian Foreign Minister warned that "the region is on the brink of a large-scale war." The Iranian minister's statements come amid the large-scale Israeli attack in southern Lebanon since yesterday, which has resulted in the deaths of more than 500 people and the injury of more than 1,600.
