The Arab Parliament denounced the Israeli occupation entity's decision to seize the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and turn it into a settlement with 144 housing units in East Jerusalem. In a statement, the Arab Parliament called on the international community to urgently intervene to stop these continuous violations against the Palestinian people and their institutions, stressing the need to respect UNRWA and its vital role in providing humanitarian services to Palestinian refugees. The Arab Parliament described this decision as a blatant infringement on the rights of Palestinians and international organizations working to serve Palestinian refugees and a clear violation of international law and United Nations resolutions. The Arab Parliament renewed its support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate rights, foremost of which is their right to self-determination, the right of return and the establishment of their independent sta te with Jerusalem as its capital.
