The Arab League on Saturday hailed Armenia's official recognition of the State of Palestine describing the decision as a brave step. Secretary-General Ahmad Abulgheit said in a statement the increasing number of states recognizing the State of Palestine reflects a conviction on the part of the international community that the occupation cannot continue. It is a significant step toward establishing the State of Palestine with the June 4, 1967 borders, he added, appealing to other nations to follow suit. Spain, Ireland, Norway, and Slovenia had already taken such a step, raising the number of states that recognize it to 149. Source: Kuwait News Agency
