The Arab League affirmed today the right of Palestinian children to a free and dignified life in their homeland. In a statement on the occasion of World Children's Day, the Arab League stressed that all Palestinian children have the right to live a safe and calm life away from all causes of fear, displacement, and all forms of violence. It stressed that the criminal practices of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and the violence it inflicts on them amount to ending their existence and future, which it stressed is unconscionable. The Pan-Arab organization called on the international community to assume its full responsibility toward the protection of Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip and to sound the alarm to protect them by obliging the Israeli occupation forces to comply with the decisions and laws that guarantee the protection of children. The death toll in the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7th until Saturday evening, rose to more than 12,200, including about 5,000 children, 3,250 women, and 690 elderly people, while the number of injured reached more than 29,500, according to the Ministry of Health.
