The League of Arab States, in collaboration with UN Environment Programme's West Asia Office, is due to organize the 3rd Arab Forum for Environment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Monday. The two-day forum aims to generate recommendations on the emerging and foremost environmental topics for the Arab region that would ultimately help provide information about the topics included in the agenda of the council of Arab ministers responsible for environmental affairs, Arab League said in a statement on Sunday. The forum represents a regional focal point in enabling Arab states to unify their visions in support of the Arab region globally by setting the environment global agenda based on the region's priorities through the UN Environment Assembly, the statement added. The event brings together high-ranking representatives and professionals from the Arab states, along with participants from the relevant UN and regional organizations, government authorities, regional think-tanks, civil society, youth, and women organi zations.
