Hajjah governor Hilal al-Sufi and Chairman of the Yemeni News Agency Saba Nasr al-Din Amer on Monday visited Midi district to assess the conditions of residents affected by recent floods. The officials reviewed the situation in Buhais area, where residents have received urgent aid, including emergency and shelter support. They also inspected ongoing efforts to mitigate flood damage, such as constructing earthen barriers and redirecting valley flows to protect homes and properties from future floods. Governor al-Sufi acknowledged the severe damage and expressed appreciation for the President of the Supreme Political Council's support, which includes providing equipment to aid the local authority in relief efforts and protective measures. Amer highlighted the leadership's commitment to assisting affected communities, noting the deployment of 41 pieces of equipment across the governorate for damage control, road repairs, and barrier construction, with plans to extend these efforts to all impacted areas.
