The Council of the Arab League at the level of permanent delegates will hold an emergency meeting Thursday to discuss Arab action in solidarity with Lebanon and to address the serious repercussions of the Israeli aggression against it, including helping Internally Displaced Persons and refugees, as well as providing aid. In a statement on Wednesday, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League Ambassador Hossam Zaki said that the meeting will be held at the request of Iraq with the support of a number of Arab states.
