Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned an Israeli raid conducted earlier on Wednesday on the town of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, which resulted in six deaths, including the mayor and several relief workers. Spokesperson for the Secretary-General Jamal Rushdi quoted Aboul Gheit as asserting that the Israeli airstrikes are indiscriminate, targeting civilians and infrastructure in an effort to replicate the brutal situation in Gaza within Lebanon. Aboul Gheit emphasized that "Israeli arrogance has reached a critical point by dismissing the rational voices from Europe that criticize this indiscriminate and inhumane conduct in military operations."
