The General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) kicked off in Rabat on Wednesday, with the participation of the ministers and representatives of Arab member states, including Kuwait. Chairman of Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is leading his country's delegation partaking in the 28th edition of the ACAO General Assembly. Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of the event, Sheikh Humoud underlined that it is essential for Arab countries to work together to overhaul the vital sector of civil aviation, which is of positive significance to pushing forward Arab economies. He noted that Kuwait, as an active ACAO member, is eager to contribute to promoting Arab collaboration in civil aviation and revamping the aviation industry. The Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) is a specialized Arab organization affiliated to the Arab League which aims to strengthen cooperation and coordination among Arab countries in the field of civil a viation and its development. It was established on February 7, 1996, when its Agreement came into force, and its first General Assembly was held on the 5th June, 1996. Twenty two States have ratified the Convention.
