The Arab Capitals Youth Meeting 2024, organized by the Ministry of Youth in cooperation with the Arab League under the theme "Youth, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence," concluded in Amman. Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth, Hussein Jabour, representing the Minister of Youth, Yazan Shadifat, highlighted the importance of empowering youth to keep pace with technological advancements, particularly in programming and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Speaking at the closing ceremony, held Wednesday evening, Jabour praised the broad Arab participation, which underscores the significance of youth engagement in exchanging experiences and transferring knowledge in youth-related fields. In his address, Mazen Saadani of the Egyptian delegation emphasized the pivotal role of AI in shaping the future, calling for more opportunities for ambitious youth capable of adapting to the technological wave transforming the world. He described AI as a social and economic revolution that is redefining work and life. At the conclusion of the event, Arab youth expressed their gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah II for hosting the meeting in Jordan. They called for the establishment of an Arab fund to support youth talents and projects in AI and technology, along with an annual award for the best Arab initiative. Additionally, they stressed the need to strengthen partnerships between educational institutions and emerging tech companies to provide youth with training, employment opportunities, and enhanced exchange programs.
