Washington, Apple launched a public demo of its 4M AI model, via the Hugging Face platform, which comes seven months after the model's source code was made publicly available. The company made the move in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), where Apple is developing its research on artificial intelligence. The public demo allows a large group of users to interact with the 4M model and directly assess its capabilities, an AI multimedia model capable of processing and creating content, and users can interact with it to create images from text descriptions, make complex identification of objects, process 3D scenes using natural language, etc. By making the 4M model accessible to all via a popular open source AI platform, the company not only showcases its AI capabilities, but also seeks to attract developers' interest and enhance its technologies. The 4M model features a uniform structure of diverse media, an approach that may make AI applications more coherent an d diverse, such as the personal assistant "Siri" understanding complex multi-part queries containing text, images and spatial information, responding to them with appropriate responses, or that Final Cut Pro automatically creates and edits video content based on the user's text instructions.
