The Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission organized an event on Wednesday to commemorate the first anniversary of "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation and to honor the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, a prominent figure in the Muslim and humanitarian struggle. The event, attended by Deputy Chairman Raidan al-Mutawakel and Commission member Engineer Harith al-Omari, recognized October 7 as a historic day of victory for Palestinian resistance, marking the failure of Zionist enemy strategies and the myth of its military superiority. Al-Omari condemned the inaction of Arab and Islamic nations, criticizing their failure to fulfill religious, humanitarian, and moral responsibilities in the face of ongoing atrocities committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. He highlighted the dissonance between Western claims of human rights advocacy and their support for the crimes in these regions. The speaker also denounced the assassination of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and other leaders of the Leban ese resistance, saluting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza who have faced adversity for an entire year, battling against the aggression supported by the United States and Western nations. During the event, the commission members expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian cause and reiterated their support for the resilience of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples amidst ongoing Zionist violence. Two key lectures were presented: the first by Mohammed al-Abed, Secretary General of the Cultural Front Against Aggression, who discussed Nasrallah's role in transforming Hezbollah into a regional resistance force and Yemen's role within the axis of resistance, highlighting significant victories against the Zionist entity, particularly in 2006. The second lecture, delivered by military analyst Brigadier General Abed al-Thour, focused on the significance of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, which exposed the weaknesses of Arab regimes and emphasized the Yemeni army's support for the Palestinian r esistance. He noted the Palestinian resistance's impressive advancements in organization, planning, and armament, showcasing their capability to penetrate formidable military defenses. The event also featured a presentation of footage from the heroic actions of the Palestinian resistance on October 7, 2023. Following the event, participants held a solidarity demonstration, denouncing the Zionist crimes and the assassination of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. A statement read by Adel al-Aqabi reaffirmed the commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and their resistance. It condemned the ongoing acts of violence against leaders of resistance movements and emphasized that such cowardly actions would only strengthen collective resolve against occupation. The statement attributed responsibility for the continued violence and genocide against Palestinians to the U.S. administration, calling for immediate action from the international community to halt these atrocities. It underscored the expanded aggression of t he Zionist entity as a threat to regional and international peace, reiterating the urgency to isolate and confront this aggressive force.
