The Anbar Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces announced the launch of a large security operation at dawn today, Thursday, in Al-Jazeera areas, west of Anbar Governorate. Anbar Operations Commander, Qasim Musleh, said: 'The operation comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to cleanse remote and desert areas of the remnants of terrorist organizations.' He explained: 'The operation will focus on combing the rugged areas and remote villages to ensure that there are no safe havens for terrorist elements,' noting that this operation is part of a comprehensive strategy to enhance security in Anbar Governorate, noting: 'The operations will continue until their full goals are achieved, and the Popular Mobilization Forces will continue coordination and joint work to ensure the stability and security of the region in the long term.'
