An-Najah University is the only Palestinian university to be included in the US News classification.

Nablus - Ma'an - The US News International ranking for 2024 showed that An-Najah National University achieved a distinguished position by obtaining the 1039th place worldwide. At the level of Asian universities, An-Najah National University ranked 329 out of more than 1100 Asian universities. At the level of Palestine, An-Najah National University was the only university that appeared in this classification, noting that this classification does not depend on the data provided by the universities, but rather works to extract data from highly credible international websites such as the Clarivate Foundation, which includes international journals with an impact factor and are ranked the best globally in their field of specialization. Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University, praised the achievement of An-Najah University entering this classification and obtaining a distinguished global ranking, commending the efforts made and the steps taken towards raising the level of research and ac ademics at the university with the aim of achieving a high level of excellence and regional and international leadership. The University President also stressed the need to continue working and exert more efforts, in addition to providing all necessary capabilities to advance the educational and research system at the university and the continuous effort to reach the level of the best international universities, emphasizing the importance of scientific research and its role in the progress and advancement of modern societies. The University President also explained that the University has obtained an advanced global ranking in other global rankings, which confirms the leadership of An-Najah National University locally, regionally and globally in the rankings that rely on highly transparent standards, the most important of which are scientific research and academic quality, based on the Clarivate Foundation, which is ranked first globally in the affairs of solid scientific journals. The University's Academi c Rankings Department explained that the US-News ranking is based on several criteria, primarily focusing on the academic success of universities, including research published each year and its impact, international collaboration, awarding of doctoral degrees, reputation of scientific research at the global level, its regional reputation, printed publications, books, conferences, standard citation impact, total number of times cited as a source, international collaboration, and contribution to the best cited research papers.
