Amran Security Department on Sunday held a cultural event to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Zaid, peace be upon him, under the theme "By God, no people have ever hated the freedom of swords except that they were humiliated." The event was attended by Brig. Gen. Ali al-Hamzi, head of the Inspector General's branch, Col. Taha Al-Hadi, Director of the Training and Guidance Department, highlighted Imam Zaid's martyrdom as a continuation of the Karbala incident and attributed the fall of the Umayyad state to Imam Zaid's sacrifices. Colonel al-Hadi praised Imam Zaid's support for the oppressed and noted the parallel between the historical struggles and the current support for the Palestinian people and their resistance. He emphasized that Imam Zaid's revolution remains a beacon for the free people of the world. Major Fathi al-Hamzi, Director of the Shabil Police Department, reviewed Imam Zaid's life, emphasizing his patience, struggle, and dedication to establishing truth and combating falsehood. He drew pa rallels between Imam Zaid's revolution and that of his grandfather, Imam Hussein, peace be upon them, against Umayyad tyranny.
