Algerian Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui held a phone conversation with the Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Sunday. During the call, Larbaoui informed Mikati of Algeria's decision to immediately provide Lebanon with fuel to operate the power stations and bring back electric power to the country. On Saturday, Electricite du Liban, Lebanon's main electricity provider announced the complete cessation of electricity supply to all Lebanese territories, including basic facilities such as the airport, the port of Beirut, and prisons, due to the depletion of fuel.
