Algeria has commenced its pre-election silence period today, which will extend for three days until voting begins in the presidential elections scheduled for next Saturday. This electoral silence period, mandated by Algerian election law, requires a suspension of all campaign-related activities. During this time, citizens, journalists, and politicians are prohibited from engaging in any actions or communications intended to sway voters' opinions or decisions. The presidential election campaign, which started on Aug.15 and lasted for 20 days, was conducted in accordance with Algerian election regulations.
