A meeting in Sana'a today,Tuesday, which included Hajjah Governor , Hilal Al-Sufi, and the Chairman of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects, Adel Saleh Bader, discussed the conditions of water and sanitation projects in the province. The meeting, which included the Undersecretary of the Authority, Yahya Al-Shami, Advisor to the Chairman of the Authority, Majed Al-Shami, and the National Coordinator of the Water and Environmental Sanitation Cluster, Tawfiq Al-Haroush, touched on the rural water projects being implemented in the province with funding from the Emergency Development Focused Interventions Unit, as well as the completed and discontinued projects in the province, which amounted to 127 projects. The two water projects for the center of Bani Al-Awwam District, the authority's branch building in Hajjah, and the rents for the building and warehouses were also reviewed, and funding was sought to cover the rental costs for the year 2023 AD. At the meeting, the Governor of Hajjah confirmed th e local authority's keenness to cooperate with the Rural Projects Authority to expand water projects and cover the needs of the people of the province for clean drinking water. Sufi Governor praised the cooperation of the leadership of the Rural Water Projects Authority and its interest in Hajjah province through the implementation of rural water projects that contribute to alleviating the suffering of the province's residents in light of the repercussions of the aggression and siege that have lasted nine years. For his part, the head of the Rural Water Projects Authority appreciated the cooperation of the leadership of Hajjah, with the authority's efforts to improve the level of rural water services provided to citizens, as a translation of the directions of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the leadership of the Ministry of Water and Environment. He stressed the keenness to overcome difficulties, provide requirements for Hajjah province, and follow up on obtaining the neces sary funds to implement rural projects and improve water services in the province.
