Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed that it is the duty of the state, its institutions and authorities to do more to serve and care for the families of the martyrs and to raise the value of martyrdom. Al-Sudani said during his participation in the Iftar table of the holy month of Ramadan with the families of the martyrs that the life that our country enjoys is blessed by the blood of the martyrs who stood against the dictatorial regime and its repressive apparatuses. He stressed that effort and work should not be directed towards presenting the families of the martyrs as if they were a weak group, but rather that the family of the martyr is in a high and great status, carrying high values. He continued: Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9, represents an important historical event that combines sadness and joy, sadness with the martyrdom of the first martyr, Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, and his sister, the martyr Bint al-Huda, and joy with the fall of the tyrant. Al-Sudani stressed that this government plac es the responsibility of caring for the families of the martyrs and overcoming the obstacles that obstruct the work of the institution at the core of its tasks and priorities, and will work to address the financial, technical and administrative challenges and problems with laws, decisions and procedures.
