Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Wednesday, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Iraq, Elicia Rico, and stressed the need for the European Union to take more steps towards pressuring to stop the ongoing Zionist aggression on Lebanon and Gaza During the meeting, according to a statement by his office, Al-Sudani congratulated Rico on the occasion of assuming her duties in Iraq, pointing to the depth of relations between Iraq and Spain, which are based on a long legacy of cooperation and bilateral partnerships, and were crowned by the visit of the Spanish Prime Minister to Iraq in December of last year. The Prime Minister appreciated the Spanish position on the Palestinian issue, which was represented by its efforts to stop the war and recognize the State of Palestine, stressing the need for the European Union to take more steps towards pressuring to stop the ongoing Zionist aggression on Lebanon and Gaza, which threatens to expand the conflict throughout the region.
