Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani inaugurated, today, Wednesday, the Baghdad-Khalis Road project, after its rehabilitation and maintenance within Diyala Governorate, during his visit to the governorate, which he arrived this morning; to follow up on the progress of executive work in a number of service projects. The Prime Minister's media office stated that the project extends from the borders of Baghdad Governorate to Mustafa Jawad Square in Al-Khalis District, as part of the Baghdad-Kirkuk Road Rehabilitation Project. The works on the road included the rehabilitation and maintenance of 64 kilometers, with two lanes; 32 kilometers going, and 32 kilometers returning, at a total cost of 42 billion dinars, in addition to completing the paragraphs of conflicts with electricity and other civil services.
